Meldrum Joinery & Building’s current Chief Executive, Derek Petterson, is the son of James Petterson who bought the business
in 1951. 

Derek left the forces after serving 7 years in the Army to work with his father. When James passed away, Derek took over the business. 

The culture and focus of our business is one of a family nature – ensuring quality of workmanship and customer excellence before, during and after the completion of your project.

The Meldrum team includes a number of highly trained and experienced joinery and building professionals, employed locally here in Perth, and who have been with the firm for many years.

Meldrum Joinery & Building employs a well resourced team of local, highly trained and experienced individuals. The management team is based at our head office and showroom in the Inveralmond Industrial Estate, Perth. The premises are shared with our sister company, McLeod Glaziers.

We directly employ joiners, apprentice joiners, workshop joiners, builders, tiler, roughcaster/plasterer, apprentice builder, multi-skilled plant operator and general operatives and between them, they have decades of experience and knowledge.

The team receive continued training and development and will endeavour to work exceptionally hard to ensure each and every job is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
